Post-interview: So you have had your interview... What's next?

Tips for writing a Follow up letter/Thank you letter:
  • Keep it brief but inclusive of all necessary information.
  • Send it within 24 hours of the interview.
  • Send it regardless of how well you think the interview went. Even if you don’t get the position, you never know when or where you will meet the interviewer again; especially if you decide later on to apply for another position in that company.
  • Mention one or two items discussed in the interview that interested you about the job or organization.
  • Make a brief statement about your strengths in relation to the job.
  • Ensure that all spelling and grammar is correct, particularly the interviewer’s name and position title.
