• Plan, organize and conduct surveys into matters pertinent to the operations, functions or problems of a Ministry/Department. • Collate data on trends from foreign agencies. • Compile, collate, analyse and interpret data collected and prepare reports designed to aid in the solution of problems. • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of a group of subordinates engaged in the compilation, collation and presentation of research data. • Ensure the maintenance of a system for the safe keeping of research records and data. • Liaise and collaborate with other Research Units in Government Ministries and Departments, quasi-government bodies and private organizations. • Serve on committees and advise on the interpretation of the methodology used in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data. • Perform related work as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
and Experience
• Considerable technical experience in agriculture and training as evidenced by a recognized University Degree in the Social Sciences with an emphasis on Research Methodology. • A minimum of three (3) years experience in conducting research. • A minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.
